Model: Carl Evans - [link] Hair & Makeup: Terri Lodge - Blush Premier The short story of this image is: I wanted to see if I could take a shot like this and STILL look like "my work". My "style", if you will. It is quite outside-the-box for me, subject/theme-wise...and I like a good challenge. Engel traveled to Portland to work with me several weeks ago. Earlier in the day, we found the dress (shown here) at Goodwill. We stopped off here at the flat before we did the shoot, and my friend & roommate, Carl (who is an extremely talented photographer, btw) got the idea to do a "white trash" prom date sort of thing. He put his outfit together, then stuffed Engel's dress with pillows (I think)...and game-on  I told Engel to look like "just freaking SHOOT ME IN THE HEAD, please"...and I told Carl to give me that uncomfortable/nervous smile that people often feel the need to produce any time a camera is pointed at them.
