It is so delightfully bizarre to me, looking at all the images I made (literally, thousands of them) with Meagan during my 5-or-so months in Utica...strange, in that even though I know I was there, it still seems dream-like to me.

In retrospect, I cannot deny the fact that my time with her had a major impact on my work. She is a model, and a photographer...it was only inevitable that I would be affected by her in numerous ways.

I learned a lot of lessons, but if nothing else, I learned that being "out of my element" is quite a catalyst for creativity. Up until the point I met her, I used to methodically plan every single shoot, down to the smallest detail...but with Meagan, I quickly developed a type of confidence I could not previously imagine.

Every day...for months and months, we would just get in the car and go shoot. Somewhere. We never knew where. And even if I DID have an idea of where (and what) to shoot, that preconception was tossed into the bin very quickly.

Like I said...it completely changed the way I shoot.

I now liken each shoot to a book I haven't read yet. I know I will enjoy it, but I have no idea what is going to happen. Each shoot is (in its own way) an adventure...I wouldn't change that for anything now.

So thank you, Meagan. I sincerely appreciate all that came (and still continues to...) out of my experience with you
